First up, for the benefit of Buze1971, IT’S FRIDAY TODAY!

LINCOLN CITY ROUND-UP
O.K, now that piece of important information has been passed on, I have some good news from Sincil Bank. RICHARD BUTCHER, our long-serving midfield engine, has returned to us from Oldham on a month’s loan. I’m delighted about this! Apparently the Oldham thing hasn’t worked out as he’d hoped, so he’s “come home” for a month (at least).
I wish him every success at Sincil Bank for his second term (naturally!) and I think he’ll benefit from the new formation and new midfield colleagues (he certainly won’t need to carry this lot!). He’ll be going straight into the squad for tonight’s home match against (City Legend John Ward’s) Cheltenham Town with the number 28 shirt. Good luck Riiiiccccky!
Unfortunately we will be unable to give a “big Sincil Bank welcome” to ex-Imp JOHN FINNIGAN-Begin-again, as he is out of action with a shoulder injury that could keep him on the sidelines for up to 8 weeks. Here’s hoping for a speedy recovery Finny!
City striker OMARI COLEMAN has gone on a month’s loan to Aldershot. All I want to say on the matter is that Burton were playing Aldershot when Bacs broke his leg, so it’s probably best to have them on your side!
Finally (except for the Bacon Latest below), Lincoln will be without ALAN MARRIOTT and PAUL (real name Mark!) MORGAN tonight, both suspended following their sending-off against Torquay United. I’m sure they are both suitably ashamed of themselves and so we will say no more about it on here!
The Imps will also be without GARETH MCAULEY, but for a much more pleasant reason. Gareth will be with the Northern Ireland squad for their international match this weekend after receiving the call from Lawrie Sanchez. Well done Sprite!

THE MATCH TONIGHT
Cheltenham Town are a good side with a superb manager (the Red Shadow!) and play 4-5-1 with a strong defence. Although I’m obviously praying for a win, I think a 2-2 draw might be on the cards. I’ll even go as far as to predict the Imps scorers – Birchy and Keatesy. O.K… So that’s put the kiss of death on that then!
BACON LATEST
Sources report that Danny may have to have a pin or plate in his leg. Urgh! That doesn’t sound too pleasant… a decision will be made following another x-ray next week. Fingers crossed it doesn’t come to that Bacs!
DATING NEWS
A very slow evening with absolutely no movement on the connections page. My profile was viewed 10 times overnight (I love that little tool thing they have!). I therefore have nothing of any scientific value to add to the study – sorry!
COLD NEWS
Slightly improved cold today. Sneezing reduced to occasional rather than repetitive. Coughing limited. Head feels like it is full of Candy Floss.
